Honai Resort

Photography & Videography

We partnered with Honai Resort in Ubud, Bali, to produce a suite of promotional visuals that captured the essence of the resort’s tranquil atmosphere, traditional design, and focus on holistic wellbeing. The goal was to deliver photo and video content that felt calm, elevated, and aligned with the resort’s identity as a peaceful hideaway for modern travellers.

Scope of Work

  • Lifestyle and environmental photography
  • Cinematic promotional video (horizontal and vertical cuts)
  • Social media-optimised edits for Instagram and website
  • Art direction and location planning

We shot using soft, natural daylight to reflect the serene energy of the resort and its connection to nature. Visuals were composed with an emphasis on symmetry, space, and texture—highlighting the handcrafted architecture, garden surroundings, and stillness of the retreat. The pacing of the main resort video edit was intentionally slow, using ambient sounds and minimal transitions to immerse viewers in the experience.

To contrast this, we created a separate series of short-form videos showcasing the on-site restaurant. These clips featured quick, catchy cuts with close-up food shots, pouring sequences, and dynamic plating visuals—designed to match the energy and rhythm of social media. This allowed us to highlight both the resort’s calm, meditative vibe and the vibrant culinary experience in a complementary way.

Models were styled in neutral tones and placed within natural routines—walking through the grounds, journaling, relaxing by the pool—to capture the resort’s authentic, grounded atmosphere without feeling overly staged.

Outcome

The final visuals gave Honai Resort a refreshed, cohesive content library for their digital platforms—enhancing their brand presence while communicating their values of stillness, nature, and cultural depth. The content has been repurposed across Instagram, website banners, and promotional reels, contributing to a consistent and aspirational guest experience online.
